Fortuny Giudecca 805 floor lamp

Preparations are already underway for next month's Salone del Mobile in Milan, one of the highlights of the design calendar and a measure of the direction design will take over the next few seasons.

WGSN-homebuildlife will be highlighting our must-see events and most anticipated product launches in advance of the event; to begin with here are three key products by Italian design brand Pallucco that will be at Euroluce this year.

Chords ceiling lamp by Teruhiro Yanagihara (2011)
The Fortuny Giudecca 805 floor lamp (top image) was originally designed in 1907 by Mariano Fortuny and is being produced for 2011 with three colour combinations: Papiro ebony and white (as shown), Fiori caramel and white, and Onde ebony and gold - all embellished with Fortuny's distinctive fabrics.

Also on show will be Japanese designer Teruhiro Yanagihara's Chords ceiling lamp (pictured above) which comprises a single. folded aluminium disc, and is available in light grey, mustard or white and a choice of three sizes.

Cielo floor lamp by Kazuhiro Yamanaka
Japanese designer Kazuhiro Yamanaka's floor lamp for the brand, Cielo, is inspired by sunrises and sunsets, and is made of a plastic material which changes colour depending on the angle you view it from: graduating into white from the starting point of either a soft grey or pale blue.
