This bracelet watch is the first outcome of IDEA International’s new project ‘Untrod’, which challenges designers to expand on established product typologies.
Ross McBride, the American designer behind Japan-based design practice Normal Studio, created Madokadoke to combine the functionality of a watch with the decorative appeal of a bracelet.
Named after McBride’s wife, the bracelet displays the time only when a small side button is pressed.
Other designers invited to partake in IDEA International’s project include Shin Azumi and Fumie Shibata.
