The display forms part of ‘Regent Street Windows’, a series of installations organised for the festival which sees six different fashion and design stores on Regent Street, London, paired up with international artists, designers and architects.

Detail of the display

Cos’s windows play host to an ever-changing pattern of red, black and white squares, created by rows of rotating cardboard boxes. The rotating mechanism is deliberately low-tech, consisting of a combination of cogs, belts and motors.

Spacelab say “the resulting alternating patterns in the windows will stimulate the connections between architecture, design, fashion and the public – revealing the store, the brand and people on both sides of the glass”.
