Salvaged wood furniture by John-Michael Ekeblad
Designer John-Michael Ekeblad has created a range of furniture made from salvaged wood, retrieved from a 19th century cottage in Sweden.
Constructed during a four-day workshop with students at Swedish school Steneby, the furniture is made instinctively, with surfaces simply polished or left raw and unfinished. Blocks of colour and chunky forms add personality to the pieces, which include armchairs, stools, tables and a dog house.
The pieces will be on display at the exhibition New York på Dalsländska at Dalslands Konstmuseum, Sweden until July 27.
