Even the most experienced visitors can get overwhelmed with the wide range of events going on in Milan during Design Week. A few organisers and exhibitors took a step forward and are offering free smartphone and tablet apps, making the annual Milan trip much less of a logistical challenge.
Cosmit has launched the
iSaloni Official 2012 app, which includes a map of the fairgounds as well as an exhibitor search function. A highlight is the Traffic Info section, updated in real time with road congestion and parking space information.

WDC 2012 App, which was launched in January and supplies information about Helsinki (this year's
World Design Capital), has received an update for Milan, and now offers a guide to all the Finnish design projects across the city.
