HBL Analysis: Playful lighting
With awareness of sustainability now common and LEDs no longer a novelty, consumers want something else from their lighting products. Playful themes are highly appealing to our emotions; with this in mind, designers are finding interesting and sometimes quirky ways to interpret this concept.

One example is Brooklyn-based designer Steffi Min. who has designed Peg, an oversized wooden clothespeg which clamps directly to any chosen bulb. Introducing a playful and adaptable element to domestic lighting, Peg is also a perfect example of the rise of the designer bulb, allowing the user to showcase a favourite filament or form.
