Portuguese furniture and accessories brand Branca Lisboa has launched the XTICK light, which has a magnetic LED lamp built in a diffuser made of cork.

Portuguese joinery company WeWood exhibited its new furniture collection during Maison & Objet in Paris and 100% Design in London last month. The collection features dining tables and a sideboard with contemporary design and natural wooden finishings.

Treemme Rubinetterie launched a new range of products called 5MM at tile and bathroom furnishings fair Cersaie, including a shower set and washbasin and bathtub mixers.

Soma: a biodegradable water filter

New water filter system Soma uses a biodegradable filter made of coconut shell carbon, silk, and a plant-based casing. The glass carafe is inspired by wine carafes, and is designed to be beautiful enough to bring to the table while dining.

Soma launched last month, and offers a subscription service to deliver a fresh filter every two months. A carafe and two filters retail for $49.
