Leeds College of Art graduate India Rose Bird has designed a collection of woodblocks and used them to print wallpapers inspired by ancient African masquerade and folklore.

Integrative Biscuits: introducing consumers to the idea of eating insects


Brian Sironi and Giulia Tacchini have designed a set of biscuits made with increasing amounts of cricket flour. The project takes a gradual approach: each biscuit is stamped with a number to indicate how much we are consuming of an ingredient that we might think is unpalatable.

Acts of Doing by Louise Pettersson

Designer Louise Pettersson has made a collection of leather bags that contain tools and equipment for modern-day nomads. Inspired by "acts of doing" such as walking, eating, carrying and drinking, each piece relates to the use of fire as a primal way to keep warm, prepare meals, and shape tools.

Set on the banks of Arno river in Tuscany, the grand Villa La Massa has been the inspiration for a new home fragrance by Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria. The fragrance reflects the characteristics of the villa with a floral aroma enhanced by fresh citrus scents and softened with Rosa x centifolia and ylang-ylang.

Type spaghettimeter by Studio Lievito

Type is a simple kitchen tool for measuring spaghetti by Italian designers Studio Lievito. Made of a block of Carrara marble, the different notches on each side provide a foolproof way to measure the right amount of spaghetti for one, two, three or four people.
